First menopause guidelines to be launched

The guideline plans to address the considerable variation in what is currently offered to women experiencing the menopause, the symptoms of which are often misunderstood and underestimated. The guidelines will include a section specific to Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI).
Consultation on the guideline closes on 13th July. When published in October this year, the guideline will be used across the NHS.

What is The Daisy Network?

The Daisy Network Premature Menopause Support Group is a registered charity for women who have experienced a premature menopause. Premature menopause (also called premature ovarian failure and premature ovarian insufficiency) is defined as the onset of menopause before the age of 40 and affects one per cent of women. Early menopause is defined as the onset of menopause before the age of 45. There are many possible causes for premature and early menopause including auto-immune diseases, cancer treatment and family history, but for many women the cause remains unknown.

If you have recently been diagnosed with premature menopause, or suspect that you may be going through it, or know someone who may be, then the Daisy Network is here to help you find support. The standard membership fee is £20 for 1 year. We offer a wide range of benefits for members, so why don't you join us today ?

The Daisy Network is a not-for-profit organisation and has no paid members of staff. We rely solely on the support of our volunteers and members. Your membership fee supports our work and without it we would not be able to maintain this website, the Forum, publish the Update Newletter, distribute leaflets, posters and cards to medical centres and to hold the Annual Conference. We are here to maintain the network to allow all members to support one another and to raise general awareness.

Can you help? We need volunteers in order to keep the The Daisy Network providing a valuable service to women like you. Please contact us at
