Media Centre

One of The Daisy Network’s key aims is to increase awareness of premature menopause amongst women in general. One of the ways we can effectively do this is to talk to the media and let people know what it is like to go through a premature menopause.

We have received a large amount of coverage over the years in all types of media.

Member's personal stories are needed to guarantee coverage in all types of publications and are an ideal way of raising awareness of premature menopause.

If you are happy to tell your story to the media, please do contact us by emailling daisy@daisynetwork.org.uk . We will help guide you through the process.

An example of a previous media article is included below for your reference.

Embarrassing Bodies

Many thanks to Amanda for bravely appearing on Embarrasing Bodies last week. It was great to get a mention on the show and to emphasize that early menopause is not embarrassing and generally creating a greater awareness. There is also a link on the web page encouraging girls or ladies to look us up!

The Daily Mail

Our very own Amanda tells her story in the Daily Mail. Here is the link:

Also, Emma's story is in Best magazine this week (19.6.12) on page 43. Well done to both ladies for being so brave and sharing their stories so other women can be encouraged to know that they are not alone plus it raises awareness in the medical world also so that women can be properly tested.
